Electrosonic Inc. is looking for an Project Manager located in the San Francisco area who reports directly to the Director of Operations – West.

In this role, you will deliver projects to specification, on time, on budget and most importantly, to the client’s satisfaction. You will ensure that all members of the project team are directed in an organized, efficient and effective manner.  You will also develop and maintain respectful, collaborative partnership within the internal project team.

What you will be doing?

  1. Be able to manage the commercial and contractual obligations of multiple projects concurrently.
  2. Ensure that projects are completed in a timely, efficient manner to our clients’ satisfaction and in compliance with all contract specifications.
  3. Prepare and manage (including regular updates) project schedules, budgets, and staffing with in-house, contract, and sub-contracted resources.
  4. Provide regular reports and forecasts to upper management and other stakeholders.
  5. Administer project processes during engineering, purchasing, fabrication, installation and programming phases.
  6. Communicate project process and status, both internally and with the client, through regular daily, weekly, and monthly project logs, reports and updates.
  7. Manage changes to schedule, scope, and budget by generating appropriate change orders and soliciting client approvals.
  8. Coordinate travel and accommodations for Project teams.
  9. Oversee the Projects’ site supervisors and installers.
  10. Coordinate on-site training and administer client sign-off.
  11. Ensure that final documentation packages (operations and maintenance manuals, as-built schematics, etc.) are prepared and contract close-out occurs in a timely manner.
  12. Administer handover to Electrosonic’s Service Solutions group.
  13. Coordinate invoicing and assist in collecting accounts receivable.
  14. Significant travel and extended out of town stays may be required in this position.
  15. Perform other activities and assume further responsibilities as projects demand and/or as directed by the immediate Manager.

What Experience, Skills and Attributes you will need to be successful?

  1. Extensive knowledge in Audio/Video technologies and integration.
  2. Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate technical requirements and specifications.
  3. Good organizational skills, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients.
  4. Ability to create, read, and edit contracts, schedules, budgets, A/V drawing packages, etc.
  5. Construction experience, business management, contracting and negotiation are preferred.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to interface well with clients and co-workers and to lead subordinate staff effectively.
  8. Capability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  9. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  10. Knowledge of current products and trends in audio, video, show control, and/or related industry.

What qualifications are required?

  1. BA, BS, or BE degree; emphasis in business, engineering, architecture, design, or theater.
  2. Minimum three years of professional project management experience in a related industry.
  3. CTS certification preferred.
  4. Hands-on installation or prior project coordination experience.
  5. Knowledge of current products and trends in audio, video, show control, and/or related industry.
  6. Proficient with computers and standard office programs (e.g. Windows, Excel, Word).
  7. Qualified with scheduling software (Primavera P3 or P6 or MS Project).
