Technology & Audio/Visual Business Analyst

(Information Technology Analyst 2)

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an organized and versatile individual to support the numerous IT needs of the Judicial Education and Performance unit. The individual will be responsible for maintaining integrity of the judicial performance data and systems to improve unit workflow. The

individual will also assist with IT support for the judicial education program/workflows as well as perform related business analysis and business requirements gathering for process and technical enhancements. Responsibilities include working with MS Access and other related database applications; creating forms/surveys; audio/visual support for conferences and continuing education programs; and both the recording and editing of audio/video in the support of Judge’s continuing education. The selected candidate will interface with all levels of Judiciary employees, including Judges, so prior customer service experience is preferred.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

* Design, develop, and enhance MS Access and other relational database applications

* Administer and maintain resource libraries in a SharePoint and other technology environments

* Provide on-site technical support for Judicial Education programs

* Produce audio and video recordings

* Create intermediate MS Excel formulas to summarize and analyze large volume data

* Create professional and engaging MS PowerPoint presentations appropriate for targeted audiences

* Utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access at intermediate level to analyze and present information for executive level review

* Deliver technical training for judges

* Judiciary legal research account management support

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems

Salary range is $61,217.75 – $98,586.88. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity AND one (1) year of professional experience in: analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems applications OR planning, acquiring, installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area

networks

OR generating and maintaining system software.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.

A Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and one year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

An Associate’s Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

An Associate’s Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

A Master’s Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction,

interactive media, software engineering, computer networking and/or cybersecurity may be substituted for the required education.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act,” all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
