We are looking for a Compliance Engineer located in our New York City office who will report directly to the Project Engineering Manager.

In this role, you will provide technical and fabrication support for custom audio, video and control system projects. You will work closely with Electrosonic’s Engineering and Fabrication teams to ensure projects are accurately reviewed, on track and safe. 

What you will be doing? 

  1. Development of CAD and Engineering standards and practices, including AutoCAD drafting standards, drawing packages, Database template, and other engineering related documents at the direction of the Project Engineering Manager.
  2. Supervision of Engineering Review efforts for Drawings and Engineering Documentation to verify design approach (peer review) and conformation to standards (Quality Control)
  3. Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of the engineering delivery team at the direction of Project Engineering Manager
  4. Manage peer review process with the Engineering Team
  5. Support Engineering Team as a mentor for Engineering Documentation practices
  6. Support Fabrication team during the build process
  7. Act as resource for guidance during the Fabrication phase
  8. Manage the Electrosonic Quality Control Program
  9. Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on Quality Control activities
  10. Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed by the immediate manager.
  11. Follow and drive adherence to Electrosonic health and safety policies and procedures.

 What Experience, Skills and Attributes you will need to be successful?

  1. Ability to interface well with clients and co-workers.
  2. Ability to install and wire systems to Electrosonic’s high-standards.
  3. Ability to supervise staff and sub-contract labor team members.
  4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills with ability to respond in a timely manner.
  6. Proficient with computers and standard office programs (e.g. Windows, Excel, Word).
  7. Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
  8. Experience in helping develop processes and standards.

What qualifications are required? 

  1. Minimum five years of professional installation experience in audio visual industry.
  2. Technical understanding of AV equipment, functionality and installation processes
  3. Ability to work well in a team.
  4. Ability to solve challenges in high pressure situations.
  5. Hands-on installation experience and knowledge of current products and trends in video or related industry.
  6. Knowledgeable with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Ability to adhere to deliverable schedules and plan resources accordingly.
