Full-Time AV Design Engineer

Job Description

As a Sr. Audio Visual Design Engineer with the Nashville-based AV integration company, you will play a crucial role in leading the system design process. This committed and “customer centric” team has fun while working hard to exemplify their ongoing commitment to client service and satisfaction.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments, site surveys, and establish budgets to develop comprehensive project design packages.
  • Project Lifecycle: Work through the entire project lifecycle, from pre-sale pricing to installation and beyond, ensuring proper system functionality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, procurement team, and installation team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Process Improvement: Work with teammates at all levels to identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements and provide suggestions.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design Software: Extensive experience with D-Tools, Visio, and AutoCAD to create detailed system designs and schematics.
  • AV/Low Voltage Expertise: In-depth knowledge of complex wiring configurations and signal flow for AV control networks.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the Audio-Visual field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience specifically in systems design.
  • Certifications: CTS-D or CTS-I certification is preferred but not required with the right work experience and knowledge.
  • Technology Awareness: Strong understanding of existing and emerging technologies in the AV industry, as well as IT and other technical verticals.
  • Location: While you will work mostly in a remote setting, the ability and willingness to commute to the company’s home office in Nashville, TN is required. Candidates living within 2-4 hours of the office are preferred.
