Job Description

The A/V Systems Installer will integrate audio, video, lighting and control systems in commercial spaces – including – hospitals and healthcare facilities, universities, House of worship, governmental facilities and corporate meeting spaces. Our typical service area is central North Carolina but there will be times where travel to outlying jobs will be necessary. It is expected that the AV Installer will work cooperatively within a team to meet project goals and deadlines.

Job Duties:

– Ability to follow directions given by the Lead Technician or Project Manager to ensure proper scope of work
– Proficient in the ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
– Proficient with the use of basic hand tools and power tools
– Proficient soldering techniques
– Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
– Experience in pulling wire and cable
– Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team
– Drive our company vehicles – which requires a VALID driver’s license and a clear driving record

Certifications, Skills and Abilities:

– Experience in audio, video, and lighting installation is helpful
– CTS certification preferred
– Strong communication skills
– The ability to work effectively within a team
– Basic low voltage electronic knowledge and basic construction skills
– Computer skills

Physical demands and work environment:

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb and balance. Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required in order to install equipment. Work requires ability to lift fifty pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments. Clean driving record, background check, and drug testing required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 to $25.00 /hour
