COMMERCE, MI (December 13, 2011) – Advanced visualization leader IGI announced that it has received the first production unit of the new Barco Galaxy 4K projector. These 3-chip DLP projectors, dedicated mainly to the commercial markets, project high-quality images with the stunning detail of 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution to large format 2D or 3D advanced visualization systems. The Barco Galaxy 4K projector represents a significant technology expansion that will provide IGI with increased flexibility in meeting the demanding requirements for large scale 3D stereoscopic projection.

The Barco Galaxy 4K allows for active stereo and active Infitec stereo projection. In order to counter the typical brightness issues that often occur in large scale 3D installations, the Galaxy 4K offers a choice of three brightness levels from 12,000 up to a remarkably brilliant 32,000 ANSI lumens of light output.

The projector’s 4K resolution along with the known color saturation of three-chip DLP technology produces ultra-vivid image quality with exceptional color uniformity. Thanks to a hermetically sealed optical engine, no dust or dirt will affect the DLP 4K chip. This guarantees undiminished brightness, color uniformity and contrast levels over time. A liquid cooling system protects the projector’s core components from overheating which in turn extends their lifetime dramatically and reduces the cost of ownership while increasing uptime.

The Barco Galaxy 4K is poised to make an immediate impact in virtual reality, visualization and simulation installations throughout the automotive design, oil and gas exploration, aerospace simulation, and military intelligence markets. Specifically, IGI will leverage the Barco Galaxy 4K’s abilities to produce advanced stereoscopic IGI | PowerWalls 4K, IGI | PowerWindows 4K, and Custom projection systems.

“We are very excited about receiving our new Barco Galaxy 4K,” said Pat Hernandez, President and Founder of IGI. “With the addition of this projector, IGI will remain one of the industry leaders providing advanced mono and stereo 4K visualization systems.”

Recently, Barco announced was selected to be one of the few national value added reseller (VAR) in the United States to distribute Barco’s immersive projectors. A leading producer of three-chip DLP projectors, control room projection cubes and virtual reality systems, Barco is offering its latest 3D stereo projector, the Galaxy 4K, through IGI as part of a wide array of exciting product offerings.

“IGI is well-known in the industry for providing large scale, high-resolution visualization systems and we are proud to be represented by IGI as a key supplier in this highly sophisticated market. Their solutions planning, integration and support is unsurpassed in the industry, and they share our passion for quality and high performance, which makes them an ideal partner,” commented Hernán Rodríguez, Director Channel Management Control Room and Virtual Reality for Barco North America.

IGI will conduct live demonstrations of the Barco Galaxy 4K projector in the company’s Detroit and Los Angeles showrooms beginning in January. A series of 4K Forum regional events highlighting IGI’s large-screen visualization solutions featuring the Barco Galaxy 4K projector are planned for early 2012.

Job Ad’s Price Structure to Change.

Single Ad Posting, Listed 30 Days = $99
6 Month Subscription, Unlimited Ad Postings = $399
12 Month Subscription, Unlimited Ad Postings = $699

Our pricing will be changing as of Jan 1, 2012. In an effort to provide the AV industry with a more cost-efficient means of advertising their job openings, and after many surveys and much discussions with AV companies and hiring managers, we have decided to revamp our price structure. AVJoblistings.com will be moving to a subscription based model. We will continue to offer single postings, now at a lower rate. Subscriptions will be for 6-month or 12-month periods, and with unlimited job postings.  We feel that this new structure aligns with our website’s vision in ‘Doing Our Part in Promoting the AV Industry’ as we aim to be the primary hub for AV professionals to connect with potential hiring companies. We believe that many AV companies struggle to find good talent because the cost of necessary repetitive ads in top online job boards are high, and oftentimes an ad must stay ‘live’ for many months before the right candidate(s) comes along. Our hope is that our new pricing will allow for jobs to stay listed for a longer period at no extra renewal cost to our customer, thus allowing ample time for many candidates to learn about and apply for listed positions.

We use this opportunity to say Thank You” to all our customers that have joined our site and posted jobs and resumes. We look forward to better serving your company and job-search needs as we welcome 2012, and believe for a busy and profitable year for the AV industry as a whole.

Did you know there are two (2) kinds of candidates out there: Aggressive Candidates & Passive Candidates.

Aggressive Candidates utilize sites like ours to seek out and explore new job opportunities on their own. They do this for various reasons: “professional growth,” “higher compensation,” “moving to new locales,” or the occasional, “this industry is killing me and I want to lessen the blow!”

Listing AV Jobs on an online jobs board is one way to get your current positions filled. This is called Passive Recruiting, and it depends highly on Aggressive Candidates. You post a job and our company broadcasts your position across various networks and media to bring successful attention within the AV industry.

Passive Candidates are very happy where they are. Most times this is because they aren’t necessarily seeking new opportunities, or they’re just so plain busy delivering systems they can’t find the time to seek out new AV Jobs. They’re great employees but the problem is they’re not working for you!

In comes Harness Technology, our parent company. We also perform, what’s called, Aggressive Recruiting – we seek out the Passive Candidates. HT Recruiters aggressively search and connect with candidates that fit your job profile and aggressively pursue these Passive Candidates on your behalf. We do this everyday and are good at it. Our clients are happy with the people we bring on board their companies and they reward us generously for it. But hey, our rates are very competitive, and well worth the effort. Give Harness Technology a ring today to learn more if you think this is a way you might want to go.
